The feeling is unreal. I want to thank all my coaches, teammates, and friends that supported me and helped me train for the USIBA Nationals in Michigan. As I said in a earlier post, I had to lose weight so I can fight in the 112 weight class. I ended up losing 10 pounds and weighed in at 108 pounds right before the fight. My opponent was tough and conditioned, thus the fight lasted until the very end and I won by decision.
The first thing I cooked up when I got back was a fatty piece of Marinated New York Steak with Mashed Potatoes, and some veggies. The steak was marinated in Olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, steak seasoning, red wine vinegar, and salt and pepper. I grilled the steak on high heat for a few minutes on both side and then moved the steak to cooler part of the grill, grilling it for another few minutes for medium rare.
